Q:

How does the MoreGallons program work?

A:

Once you become a MoreGallons member, you simply pre-purchase your fuel from the MoreGallons.com web site. You make your fuel purchases at the pump with your choice of credit or fuel card, just like you always have. When you are ready to cash in your gallons, you simply indicate the number of gallons you wish to cash in and the money is transferred into your checking account within 3 business days. The money you receive from MoreGallons can be used to pay your credit card or fleet fuel card bill.

Q:

Who can sign up for a MoreGallons membership?

A:

MoreGallons is designed to meet the needs of members who consume over 100 gallons of fuel per month. It is ideal for businesses both large and small. The MoreGallons program can also protect you from rising fuel costs for boats, motorhomes, farm equipment, and airplanes.

Q:

Is there a minimum purchase required?

A:

The minimum purchase allowed is 100 gallons of fuel. All pre-purchases of fuel must be made in increments of 100 gallons.

Q:

How can I pay for our pre-purchased fuel?

A:

MoreGallons accepts wire transfers and e-checks. Keep in mind that orders paid by e-check or wire transfer totaling less than 3,000 gallons, in any 72 hour period, will lock in the price at the time the order is placed.  Orders totaling more than 3,000 gallons, in any 72 hour period, are subject to gallon adjustments resulting from price changes from the time an order is placed until the funds clear our bank. We recommend that you pay by e-check. If you are making an order totaling more than 3,000 gallons, in any 72 hour period and need to lock in your price right away, you may choose to send a wire transfer.

Q:

How many gallons are we able to cash in at a time?

A:

You are able to cash in as many gallons as you have actually consumed in the last 30 days.  Please review your receipts in order to determine your usage.

Top

Q:

Can MoreGallons automatically refill my account?

A:

No. You must make your pre-purchases on the MoreGallons.com web site.

Top

Q:

How do I use MoreGallons to save money on fuel?

A:

Buy your gallons in advance at your MoreGallons Price (MGP) at the time of purchase and then redeem your gallons on the web site after you have purchased fuel at the pump. If you bought at $1.80 per gallon and waited until the prices went up to $2.20 per gallon you would save $.40 per gallon less the service fees.

Top

Q:

Why is my pre-purchase price lower than the price at my local station?

A:

The MoreGallons Price (MGP) is based on the current market commercial price for fuel excluding taxes and retail mark up, therefore the MGP should always be lower than the prices your see at the pump.

Q:

How do I know my financial information is safe?

A:

We use the same 256-bit encryption and leading security software solutions as other global financial institutions to ensure that your data is safe.

Top

Q:

Do I need to use the fuel I pre-purchased or can I use MoreGallons as an investment?

A:

MoreGallons is a service and not an investment tool.  You are simply using the gallons that you previously purchased.  When you cash in your gallons you declare that you have actually used the amount of fuel you are cashing in.

Top

Q:

Is there a fee for pre-purchasing or cashing in fuel from the MoreGallons program?

A:

MoreGallons charges $.06 per gallon service fee when you make pre-purchases and $.06 per gallon services fee when you cash in your gallons. Additional fees may apply if you prefer to use wire transfers instead of e-checks.

Top

Q:

Can I save even more money by shopping for the lowest priced station?

A:

Yes. When you cash in your gallons, the money you receive is based on the MoreGallons Price, not the price you paid at the pump. You will receive the same amount of money from MoreGallons regardless of what you paid at the pump, therefore every penny you save at the pump is a penny you keep in your pocket.

Top

Q:

Will MoreGallons still pay for my fuel if prices go to $5 per gallon or higher?

A:

Yes. No matter how high the price of fuel rises, you are protected.

Top

Q:

What if prices go down?

A:

Fuel prices move up and down all the time. If prices drop you can wait for them to go back up in the days or weeks ahead. Members can take advantage of the price drops by pre-purchasing more fuel for their account so they can hold it in anticipation of another price increase.

Top

Q:

Can I get my money back for unused gallons?

A:

Yes. If you want your money back for unused pre-purchased gallons, you can request a refund for the amount you paid (less the service fee) for your unused gallons or the MoreGallons price at the time of the request, whichever is less.

Top

Q:

How long can I save my fuel? Can I save it for several years and really save a lot of money?

A:

There is no time limit, you may save your gallons for as long as you wish. As long as you maintain your MoreGallons membership, you can keep your gallons for as long as you like.

Top

Q:

Does MoreGallons have anything to do with MyGallons?

A:

MoreGallons is a high volume program designed for fleets, boats and RVs which is based on the same technology utilized by the MyGallons consumer program. After a widely publicized launch, MyGallons was forced to put operations on hold when the company that had agreed to provide the services to process the MyGallons debit card suddenly backed out of its contract. Because MoreGallons operates with an entirely different payment model, it is completely unaffected by the processing issues of MyGallons.

Top

Q:

When is the best time to buy fuel from MoreGallons?

A:

Because the price of fuel fluctuates virtually all of the time; at a minimum, we suggest that you keep an adequate supply in your account at all times to protect against a sudden price increase. When the cost drops during normal price fluctuations you may want to consider stocking up on more gallons while fuel is “on sale.”

Top

Q:

Am I pre-purchasing the fuel with tax?

A:

No. You are pre-purchasing regular unleaded gasoline and/or diesel fuel at a fleet price excluding taxes and retail mark up. MoreGallons uses this method since we have no control over local, state, and federal taxes.

Top

Q:

When is the best time to cash in?

A:

Many customers choose to cash in their gallons every time they pay their fuel bill (credit card or fleet account), but for maximum savings you can wait for the price to rise. When the price goes down, buy more gallons and then cash in when the price goes up again.

Top

Q:

Can I use MoreGallons for my boat?

A:

Yes. You may use the MoreGallons program for boats, motorhomes, airplanes, farm equipment, etc.

Top

Q:

Can I use MoreGallons if I am not located in the United States?
